This is an independent matching service for people in Chicago and the surrounding communities who are weighing up dental implants. It is not a practice, not a clinic group, and despite the domain name it is published on, not a dental society, an association or a membership body of any kind.

What this site is

It is a free service that introduces people to licensed implant dentists in the Chicago area. The positioned line we use everywhere is the accurate summary: a free matching service, not a dental practice. We introduce you to licensed local implant dentists; the treatment plan and the fee come from the dentist.

"Chicago Dental Implants" names the subject of the site. The domain chicagodentalsociety.com is simply the address it is published at - there is no society behind it, no members, and no professional body, and nothing on this site should be read as those things.

Why it exists

Chicago is a city of roughly 2.6 million people across Cook County, and it is not short of implant dentists. What it is short of is a straight answer about what any of this costs and who does which part of the work. The practices here split into general offices that restore implants and refer the surgery out, periodontal and oral-surgery groups that place them, and a handful of full-arch clinics that run the whole sequence in one location.

The published ranges are wide - $3,000 - $5,000 for a single implant with its crown against $15,000 - $30,000 for a full arch - and neither figure tells you who, near you, does the version of the work your case needs. This site answers the part that can be answered in writing: what each treatment category costs in published ranges, what a quote has to itemise, how the staged timeline runs, and what happens to the ridge after a tooth is lost. Then it makes the introduction.

How practices are selected

In general terms, a practice is introduced only where it holds a current Illinois licence to practise dentistry, issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation; treats patients in the Chicago area; and does the kind of implant work the situation involves. Where sedation is part of a request, the practice holds the relevant Illinois sedation permit, and it is fair to ask which level that is.

We do not rank practices by fee, and we do not publish a directory of them. If a practice stops meeting those conditions, it stops being introduced.

What this site does not do

How the figures on this site are sourced

Cost ranges come from published 2025-2026 US dental cost guides, together with the American Dental Association's Health Policy Institute dental-market material. The ADA cannot quote fees for dental procedures and discontinued its Survey of Dental Fees in 2023, which is why no page here reproduces an ADA fee figure: the ranges are the published guide figures, linked at the foot of the page where they appear.

Statements about how treatment runs - the two stages, osseointegration over three to six months, the graft decision coming from a CT scan, what peri-implantitis is and why review appointments look for it - are general published clinical statements, not a plan for your case. Licensing and low-cost care pointers come from IDFPR and NIDCR. Tooth-loss prevalence is tracked by CDC/NCHS oral-health reporting; we state the fact and not a percentage.

Frequently asked questions

Do you charge patients?

No. Patients pay nothing for the introduction. The practices we work with pay us.

Who do I complain to about dental care?

The practice first, and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation for licensing matters. We are not part of the clinical relationship and cannot intervene in it.

Is any of this dental advice?

No. It is educational material built on published sources. Whether implant treatment is right for you is a clinical decision, and it belongs to a licensed dentist who has examined you.
